Northern Blossom Flower Farm, Atok, Benguet

Last week, I promised myself to write every week for my #weeklyblogchallenge but I’m going to pause for awhile to tell you about my trip last weekend, the reason I can’t write right away. I was on a vacation for four days and went to the Mountain Province. Internet connection was slow and the busy tour schedule was tiring. But sore feet from trekking and sleepy head for early call time is worth it. Peak on one of my favorite on this trip to Northern Blossom Flower Farm.

The Northern Blossoms Flower Farm

As the ‘Capital City of Flowers’, Benguet is sure a blooming place with different varieties of flowers. In this province, in the humble town of Sayangan, Atok, Benguet, there is a two-hectare land on the mountain where no trees would be found, but flowers.

Northern Blossoms Flower Farm has reached the mainstream in travel destinations. Recently, people are posting about it on Facebook, the famous Cabbage Rose.

So, we searched for this beautiful farm. Coming from Sagada, on our way to Baguio, we included Benguet in our sidetrip and look for this famous cabbage. We rarely see colorful cabbage, that is. (Because we only think, a cabbage is green.)

Little did we know that not only the cabbage will make our eyes shine in awe, but also the humble flowers, resting its beauty without effort.

How can I compare myself with these flowers (alstroemeria)?

I wish I could name all the flowers in the farm for you, but unfortunately, I can’t remember their names. Should have taken some notes during the tour inside the farm. But anyway, you can look at the pictures I took using my phone. I only took pictures and didn’t pluck out one single stem of flowers during the tour. 😉

Oh, this is me with the famous Cabbage Rose. The guide said you can’t eat it. He said people still argue about the taste of it.

So maybe, it is really just for ornaments. By the way, see that mountain in the background? That’s Mt. Pulag, tallest mountain in Luzon.

Oh, excuse myself.😁

So far, those are the flowers we’ve seen inside the farm. There are a lot more, but some are still not in the season to bloom.

So, if you’re planning to go to the Mountain Province, make sure to visit this flower farm. There is an entrance fee of 100php, with free unlimited water and coffee.

You will really enjoy it and will be amazed at how good the Lord is for creating beautiful flowers. It certainly does color the world. 😊
